VOLUNTEERING WITH BWB
Our
programs and events rely on the generous support of our volunteers. We
at Bikes Without Borders like to put the emphasis on fun and community
with all of our events by offering a rewarding experience to all of our
volunteers.
INTERNSHIPS
Bikes
Without Borders offers an innovative part-time volunteer internship
program that appeals to a wide variety of people looking to learn more
about who we are and what we do as well as gain valuable experience.
Our internships last approximately three to four months (depending on
need and availability) at a commitment of about 10 hours per week.
Interns also must commit to attending a weekly meeting, but are
otherwise expected to work independently at their own locations.
When positions become available they will be posted here. Note: We do not currently have any internship positions available at the moment.
ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
-Fundraising:
There are a wide range of ways that you can contribute to
organizational fundraising, and we would be very interested in
discussing ideas with you if this is an area that interests you.
-Event Planning:
We need creative, energetic people to help us think of and carry out
events that will help us expand our Pedal-Powered Hope project and get
even more life-saving bikes and bike-ambulances to health care workers
in rural Malawi. -Research: We
need volunteers with strong writing and research skills to help us
better understand how we can help others and develop further
connections in the community.
-Tabling/Staffing Key Events: Help us spread our message and promote the use of bicycles across this city.
-Graphic Design: We need volunteers to help us design a wide range of materials such as posters, pamphlets, banners, and others.
